Ready to shred airports? Need rad organization while carrying a shit ton? Want to carry a fiddle? Well, here’s a bag for ya:
This was made with love for tv-personality and custom titanium frame builder Jim Kish of Kish Fabrication.
It was made to hold enough stuff for a week of traveling with minimal (but meaningful) organization. As you will have undoubtedly noticed dear reader, it’s very similar to the last backpack I made for myself. Which is rad because I got to make this one a bigger and tweak some things (mainly zipper placement) on round 2.
Also, Jim crushes the fiddle and wanted a way to carry the fiddle case on the outside of the bag without it looking stupid. So here’s what I came up with:
And here’s it coming off and gettin rolled up
It’s a little removable sling/diaper thing that passes through some loops on the body of the bag to hold the fiddle against the back. Doing little super custom things like that is just so damn fun when they work out.
– fabric is mostly 1000D cordura, with some accents in 18oz VCP and a ballistic nylon base
– exterior zippers are ykk #10s, interior are #8s
– removable frame sheet under the 1/4″ sewn-in padded back panel
– laptop sleeves fits dem 17s and the top inner zip will fit tablets
Word up. Off to make sum panniers and framebags.
